Dan Clark to be Keynote Speaker in 2011
Dan Clark will be the keynote speaker to open the joint Community Papers of Florida (CPF) and Association of Free Community Papers (AFCP) conference scheduled for May 5-7, 2011, in St. Pete Beach.

Clark has had an extraordinary list of accomplishments that puts him on top of the "Who's Who" list.

Among his accomplishments: He is an internationally-recognized professional speaker, certified trainer, New York Times best-selling author, songwriter/recording artist, and alumnus of the University of Utah (psychology).

Clark is the author of 20 best-selling books on leadership, management, team building, humor, public speaking, and personal development, including "Common Ground" and "Forgotten Fundamentals," and is a primary contributing author to the "Chicken Soup for the Soul" series. His world-famous story "Puppies for Sale" was made into an award-winning film starring Jack Lemmon at Paramount Studios.

Clark is considered one of the top ten speakers in the world. In 2005 he was inducted into the National Speakers Hall of Fame, receiving his "CPAE" (Council of Peers Award of Excellence).

His career includes playing football for 13 years until a paralyzing injury cut short his playing time. Sixteen doctors told him he would not recover, but recover he did; and he has since appeared on over 500 television and radio programs, including Glenn Beck, Oprah, Adam Carolla and Mancow.

In sports, Clark was a Golden Glove champion, a Moto-X racing champ, an alpine ski racing champ, an all-state baseball pitcher, and a Sunkist All American football player. He was a number one NFL draft choice, has raced automobiles, has raced dogsleds in the Arctic, and has served on a U.S. Olympic Committee.

As a committed patriot, Dan continues to speak at military and NATO leadership conferences all over the world to teach what he's learned about integrity, trust, urgency, performance under pressure, service before self, teamwork, duty, honor, country and commitment.

Clark has been the master of ceremonies and speaker for the "We Love New York City Day" honoring Walter Cronkite and Yogi Berra, the Kenny Loggins Telethon, the U.S./Canadian Military Celebration of the 50th Anniversary of NORAD, the NCAA Sponsors Day at the Final Four, the Kentucky Derby VIP Dinner, the OK Kids Lifetime Achievement Award Benefit honoring U.S. Senator Orrin Hatch, the retirement gala of NFL star Steve Young, the Hall of Fame induction celebration gala for NFL star Bruce Smith, the five-day economic development conference for Coronet Global and the three-day convention of the International Customer Service Association.

To give back, Dan serves on the International Board of Governors of Operation Smile, on the National Advisory Board for OK Kids Charities, and on the Granite Education Foundation of his local public school district.

Clark is the CEO of Clark Success Systems, a multimillion-dollar speaking, publishing, sports performance and business consulting firm.
