2nd Quarter Contest Winners
Tower Publications in Gainesville grabbed the lion's share of the money in the second quarter of the Community Papers of Florida (CPF) "Best of the Best" classified network contest.

Pam Slaven won the points contest and was awarded $1,000. Second place honors and $700 were awarded to Anna Vasquez of Hometown News. Third place and $400 went to Ann Waite of Tower Publications. Laura Frimer of TheFlyer.com in Tampa was awarded $250 for finishing fourth and Carol Chandoo of the Forum Publishing Group was the fifth place recipient of $150.

Equal amounts were also awarded by the luck of the draw. Each representative who placed an ad in the network was entered into a drawing, which recently took place at Tower Publications in Gainesville.

Patricia Schuessler of The Pennysavers won the top prize of $1,000. Second was Christy Crouch of American Classifieds in Tallahassee, who received $700. Third place and $400 went to Eileen Huneycutt of Hometown News. Fourth place and $250 were awarded to Cheryl Buswell of Tampa Bay Newspapers, while the fifth place prize of $150 went to Heather Donaldson of Hometown News. Each of the winners earned an equal amount of money for their department managers.

On top of the manager's list of winners was Charlie Delatorre of Tower Publications with $1,400. Pat Snyder of Hometown News earned $1,250. Mary Morrissey of The Pennysavers group received $1,000. Lisa Jemison of American Classifieds was the recipient of $700. Shelly Fournier of Tampa Bay Newspapers won $250. Jennifer Ingram of TheFlyer.com received $250 and Mickie Carusos of Forum Publishing Group won $150.

Another $10,000 is on the line in the third quarter as the contest is repeated.
