How can I place a classified ad with CPF?

Classified ads can be placed through any of our participating publications (see the Member Directory Quick Link below) or by calling 352-237-3409 for assistance.

How do you count words for classified ads?

We count telephone numbers and websites as one word each. The abbreviation "FT/PT" is counted as one word. Addresses (number and street) are counted as two words, as are post office boxes; and City, State and Zip Codes are counted as one word each. For example, "112 W 4th Street, Anytown, FL 12345, 123-456-7890" is counted as six words.

Can I enhance a classified ad?

CPF offers special enhancements to ads in the 1.75 million circulation of Zone 1, which includes all publications throughout the state EXCEPT The Flyer in Tampa and The Flyer in Miami. The choice of enhancements includes bold face ($30), a border ($35), centering ($40), a headline ($45), a color background ($50), or a deluxe ad with all enhancements ($55/week).

What is a "full run?"

A "full run" is a term used with the classified ad network. It indicates that the ad will be included in all of CPF's approximately 86 participating publications in Zone 4.

Where will my ad appear?

Ads can appear under the heading "Statewide Classifieds" OR under an appropriate heading the publisher normally provides. It will also appear on the CPF Website.

Are tearsheets provided?

Tearsheets are not provided. The CPF office carefully monitors the ads sent to the papers. We can document that 90% of all participating publications ran your ad.

Can I change my ad?

We can't accept any call-in changes. If you want to make a change to an ad that is already running, simply fill out another order blank and fax it in.

Do you offer frequency discounts?

No, there are no frequency discounts. CPF's statewide classified advertising network is a special promotion that is already priced at a substantial savings.

Are results guaranteed?

We do not guarantee results. Advertise a good product with a great price, run it consistently, and you should be pleased with your response.

Does CPF have copy restrictions?

Yes. CPF reserves the right to reject any copy at its sole discretion.

Explain liability for errors.

CPF assumes no liability for any advertisement, whether it is supplied by the advertiser or produced by CPF. CPF is not responsible for errors, and CPF shall not be liable to the advertiser for any loss that results from incorrect publications or omissions of its advertisements.

Do I have to pay in advance?

Yes, ad placements must be paid in advance. Multiple runs of the same ad can be paid one week at a time; however, we must receive payment each week. Credit terms, as approved by CPF, are due upon receipt of invoice. In the event that the advertiser fails to make payment on time, the advertiser will become responsible for all expenses incurred in connection with collection of that amount, including court costs and attorney fees. CPF has the right to hold advertisers and agencies jointly and severely liable for such monies that are due and payable to CPF. Advertisers and agencies shall also be liable for all court costs and attorneys fees incurred during the collection process.

Do you accept credit cards?

Yes, we accept Visa and MasterCard.
